National Trust’s Revolution 2010

Recently, the National Trust have commissioned me to produce the designs for Revolution 2010. This work continues after producing the designs for the 2008 Revolution, when the festival was in it’s infancy.

Below you can see some of the recent designs produced for the festival, which include the logo, website, poster, postcard, wristband, lanyard and t-shirt designs, to name a few!

The Courtyard Gallery’s website

A website for a gallery located at one of The National Trust’s properties is now finished. The site is built upon a simple content management system, making it easy for the client to update, and also features a number of interactive image galleries and a spam-proof contact form. The owner of The Courtyard Gallery had this to say:

“Oliver responded very quickly to my brief and was very patient in responding to the changes I wanted
to make. The website he created was exactly what I was looking for. I would thoroughly recommend him.”
- Paul Lefebvre from Devon Publishing Limited

Website design – Sun Run 2010 website

We are currently working on a new design for the Scout and Girlguiding events ‘Sun Run’ and ‘Malvern Challenge’. You can see a preview of the website below.

It is to feature the latest news easily updatable through a WordPress system, a Flash front intro to give a simple outline, and a ticket application system for applicants to get their tickets through.

Revolution 08 – National Trust Volunteering Festival

The National Trust approached us to create a visual identity, the website design and printed media design for a volunteering festival in the South West. We created a vibrant identity to link with the age of the participants going to the festival.

Below you can see some pictures from the festival:

Yearbook submission website

We created a website for the yearbook submissions for the school year 2008-2009. The website was designed in such a way that it could be refreshed and used time and time again with other yeargroups. An administration area was also created, and a help feature was added a few months later, to answer some of the questions the students had.

Website design for yearbook submissions - Student area

By the submission deadline, the site had received over 1,200 quotes, 600 stories and 1,300 photo submissions, with people giving very complimentary feedback on the website.

The site had zero downtime and was found to be a very secure design that the students were able to access from both school and home. Teachers were also able to log in and monitor what was being submitted.

A news area on the website also allowed the Yearbook Committee to quickly and easily inform all the students about anything they needed to know, using a built in news system.

Online shop design – Pickering Computer Exchange

A computer company based in York approached us to help with technical work on a new online shop to help get it up and running. We worked remotely and within a short span of time managed to get the site to a working, secure state.

We were later asked by the company to create a new design for the online shop. We completely refreshed the design of the website to how it looks now. The shop used the PHP and MySQL software called Magento Commerce, which was both reliable and flexible, and provided everything that the client had asked for.
