This was a very enjoyable article. I like how it informs the reader about multiple technologies from many different disciplines.

I always found it interesting how Tim Berners-Lee toyed with other names before deciding on "World Wide Web". I once read one of the names suggested to him was "The Information Mine" but he rejected it as he though giving it the same initials as his first name would be awfully big-headed of him.

Good point, I may have confused the two a bit in my post. Tim Berners-Lee was the inventor of the World Wide Web, which we access through the Internet. Thanks for pointing that out!

[...] Rob Da Bank’s now infamous Bestival is the festival of choice for many. With it’s fancy dress Sunday, variety of big line up acts and relaxed yet excited vibe, there’s something here from everyone. I went a few years ago and loved the experience, and really think that if you want to experience everything, give this one a go. It was here that I ended up inside the ‘professional’ fancy dress tent, which was very memorable… [...]

Comment on Bloom: the Spotify killer? by Oliver

Hi Darkjake,

I think their latest development of playlists will hopefully address that issue, as they've pulled all of the music from mflow into the bloom. What I'd personally really like to see is the ability to get playlists from other providers such as Spotify, as I've got thousands of songs in my playlists here. The transition would be incredibly painful if this isn't possible.

Let me know how you've been getting on with it lately - I'd be interested to hear from you! (and anyone else)
